Dassieshoek Local Nature Reserve
This hiking trail with breathtaking views over the valleys;the Breede River, farms and the garden in the Koo and Keisie Valleys, starts at the Dassieshoek Nature Reserve (approximately 6km from town) in the Langeberg with a view over the Koo and back to Dassieshoek. The up-route is approximately 9.5 km (7 hours) and the down route 11,4 km (6hours). For more information please contact Megan at the Langeberg Municipality.

Roam Rooiberg
Roam Rooiberg is a nature venue situated on the Rooiberg mountain, on the R60, opposite Rooiberg Winery. You will be surprised to find an expert cycling shop with a well-equiped workshop and cafe 1.5km into the mountain. Mountain bike trails in the area.
MTB trails / Bike Park / Bike Rental
Roam Rooiberg offers a 12km mtb trail over pristine Karoo landscape with breathtaking views. The terrain is dry, rocky semi-desert with a mix between flowing, non-technical but really delightful singletrack and jeep tracks which start at the shop. Short, Medium, Long and XL options to suit. This trail forms part of the 71km Rooiberg Breede River Conservancy MTB Trail.
There is also a 150m kiddies cycling trail that offers youngsters a fun bike ride while parents can watch them from the deck of the restaurant. We have limited bikes for hire for riders who need the equipment and there is a cycling shop and workshop at the trail head.
